The Gaslight Anthem nearly "scrapped" new album, 'Handwritten'

In an interview with Fuse, Brian Fallon of The Gaslight Anthem discussed the band's reluctance to complete Handwritten and how the album's lead single “45” changed his mind.

“We always made a deal with ourselves that we wouldn't release a record if we didn't think it was good,” Fallon said. “We would just stop.”

Luckily, the band found the inspiration they needed to complete Handwritten, which is currently #1 on Billboard's Rock and Alternative charts and #3 on the Top 200 chart.
