The tragic bus crash took the lives of both drivers involved. A GoFundMe page was set up to aid the Ghost Inside driver's family, which you can donate to here.

Many in the scene have shown love for the Ghost Inside during their extensive and ongoing recovery. Almost immediately, a pop-up shop was organized while the band's label, Epitaph, announced that sales from all the Ghost Inside's albums would go straight to the guys themselves. At the 2016 Warped Tour lineup announcement webcast, founder Kevin Lyman said the Ghost Inside will play Warped Tour 2017. An Ultimate VIP contest from Warped Tour 2016 donated their proceeds to the Ghost Inside's recovery. Stray From The Path, Crystal Lake and the Amity Affliction have released songs in dedication to the Ghost Inside, and You Me At Six held an entire benefit concert, which would eventually land You Me At Six an APMAs nomination for Most Philanthropic Band.

At this year's APMAs, the Ghost Inside accepted the award for Most Dedicated Fans with an emotional speech.

Marquis is a former member of the Equal Visions post-hardcore outfit Therefore I Am, which disbanded in 2010, but he now operates under a solo career.

I write you today to ask for your help for some dear friends in need.

Back in November 2015, the band The Ghost Inside was in a fatal and devastating tour bus accident ( ) that took the lives of both drivers involved and left the band and crew with a staggering list of injuries ranging from multiple broken bones, blood infections, to total loss of limbs. Even now, 10 months after the accident, some of them have yet to take their first steps unassisted. These guys still have a lot of healing to do and the costs of their medical care, living costs, loss of wages, and all the other incurred expenses are as equally staggering as their injuries.

I wanted to do something more to show my continued support of their recovery by covering their song "Mercy". I'm continually amazed and inspired by their resilience, positivity, and strength following the accident. Their collective spirit is what inspired this rendition of their song and the lyric within it "Life’s swinging hard but I’m swinging harder" sums up that spirit.

Please help The Ghost Inside by donating $1 (or more if you wish) and download this song and share the link with your friends and family. All money raised from this song will go to The Ghost Inside fund to assist everyone involved with their medical costs, etc.

I've known the band for a few years now from touring on the Vans Warped Tour together and I've known Jim Riley, the bassist, for more than 10 years. We are all connected by years of music and touring and I wanted to do my part by giving back to them in one of the best ways I know how.

This is merely one way you can help the band and below are links to other ways of contributing if this one isn't right for you. If you've already donated or cannot donate I urge you to send some positive energy their way by dropping them a message on their socials and reminding them that we're still here supporting them every step of the way.

Much love to The Ghost Inside and to all those who continue to support them and their continued recovery.
