The Maine announce two tours: one completely free, one performing 'American Candy' in full

The Maine have two huge announcements today, both involving tours in support of their most recent, highly-acclaimed album, American Candy, that will have fans losing their minds with excitement. First, The Maine will play 13 shows across the US this fall that are 100 percent free for all to attend. These shows will find the band performing in areas like shopping malls, parks and similar public venues. Drummer Pat Kirch explains that the tour came about as “an idea that we have had for years now and we finally pulled the trigger on it. It’s a way for us to say thank you to the people that have supported us for the past eight years.”

Secondly, the band will further support American Candy by performing the album from front to back in small venues for select dates across the US with one show in Toronto as well. Following the 10-track performance each night will be an encore consisting of fan favorites and older cuts of which the band hasn't performed live in some time. Vocalist John O’Callaghan explains that The Maine is excited to be “fully realizing the album on stage together.” Furthermore, the band will be fully accessible after shows for photo opportunities, signings and to simply hang out with fans to show their appreciation for the support. O’Callaghan adds, “This band is built on a foundation of support and love and it’s incredible to see how inviting those who’ve been with us from the beginning have been of new faces along the way.”
