The Ready Set team with Summer Set drummer Jess Bowen for new project, Nekokat

The Ready Set's Jordan Witzigreuter and Cameron Walker have teamed with Summer Set drummer Jess Bowen for a new supergroup project, Nekokat. The three were in the the studio earlier this year with producer Eric Palmquist (Bad Suns, Night Riots) working on their debut EP, Communication, which is due out June 23.

Walker spoke with Billboard on the song, saying,”It started as a track idea Jordan made. It had the 'Yeah, yeah, yeah' vocal part and a sample of kids in a Japan classroom learning English. To me, 'Gimme a Break' is sending the message to be true to who you are. Be yourself. Be awesome. Be different.”
