The Smith Street Band sign to SideOneDummy Records
AP 100 Bands You Need To Know alumni the Smith Street Band (photo: Andy Johnson) have signed with SideOneDummy Records, who will release the Aussies' third LP, Throw Me In The River, on October 28, 2014. This marks the second S1D signing this week, after Superheaven (formerly Daylight) joined on Tuesday.
Bomb The Music Industry's Jeff Rosenstock produced TMITR with the band, tucked away together in a cabin in a small rural township (actual population: 170), while Jonathan Low (Restorations, The War On Drugs, The National) handled mixing duties. TMITR will also be released via Poison City (Australia/NZ), Banquet (UK) and Uncle M (Europe).
