The Summer Set open up about almost breaking up, new album "Stories For Monday"

In this APTV interview, the Summer Set opens up about their new album, Stories For Monday, which came out in early April. It's their first self-produced album, and no acoustic instruments appear on it, based off of a rule that bassist Stephen Gomez had while producing the work.

The band, dressed in fancy clothes during the interview, also talk about when they almost broke up, before the release of the album. “We are dressed up because six months ago, it was our funeral,” says singer Brian Dales.

When the Summer Set was about to break up, it hit all the band members hard. “I just spent that whole time in denial,” says drummer Jess Bowen. “It was, for me, the most traumatic experience.”

Now, they are all glad to be back together; the title of the album, Stories For Monday, signifies a new start for the band.
