The Wrecks premiere wild, self-produced concept video for "Favorite Liar"—watch

Indie-rock band the Wrecks premiere the concept video for their hit song “Favorite Liar” off their debut EP We Are The Wrecks.

“We self-produced our debut EP with help from our sound guy/engineer Andrew D'Angelo and put it out without much expectation,” says vocalist Nick Anderson. “'Favorite Liar' was the first single and immediately popped off for us — song that we snuck into a studio to record and edited on our laptops hit No. 5 on Alt Nation's charts, over 5,000,000 streams on Spotify, and landed us a record deal. We still can't believe it.”

The Los Angeles-based band — consisting of Nick Anderson on vocals, Aaron Kelley on bass, Nick Schmidt and Westen Weiss on guitar, and Billy Nally on drums — has since been signed to Another Century Records.

“We shot this music video before we got signed,” Anderson adds. “We had very little money, and only a few hours to spare over the course of two days while on tour. When we got signed we never thought this would see the light of day, but here we are. We didn't want to do a typical performance video, so we went the other direction. Maybe a little too far. Here's four-and-a-half minutes of your life you will never get back.”

The band also has a more traditional performance video for “Favorite Liar” that you can check out here.

You can find their debut EP We Are The Wrecks on iTunes, Spotify, and Amazon.
