This site will tell you how bad your Spotify music selections really are
If you’ve ever felt some of your Spotify music choices weren’t on point with what is considered “good,” there’s now a way to find out.
A new A.I. service project called “How Bad Is Your Spotify” is available via The Pudding and created by Mike Lacher & Matt Daniels to rank just how good or bad your listening habits really are.

The project essentially pulls in artist, album and song rankings from a wide variety of sources. When prompted with the question “how do you know what’s good?” the project elaborates.
“I’ve been trained on a corpus of over two million indicators of objectively good music, including Pitchfork reviews, record store recommendations, and subreddits you’ve never heard of.”
From there, it hilariously critiques your music choices while analyzing what you listen to. Text prompts call you out for stanning certain artists and listening to select songs too many times.
Finally, they give you a score and offer a lengthy list of ways to describe the exact ways your music choices are bad based on selections.
The service has been trending online with some people surprised about artists included that they haven’t listened to recently. Others are just simply having fun with seeing an A.I. service lightheartedly mocking them for the songs they know they listen to too much.
