A website under the moniker Is This Band Emo? has been making its way around the online airwaves as of late. The extremely minimalist site has only one main function: to tell you whether or not whatever band you ask is considered “emo.”
After typing in various groups and outfits, you may begin to find that the site will sometimes give you some clarification behind why or why not certain bands are “emo.” For instance, if you type in My Chemical Romance, you'll get a response that looks like this:
Now, if you type in Taking Back Sunday, the site can magically see your reaction:
