Captioned only with AVA’s Insta handle and the hashtag #NewShit, the hours-old vid from the good-humored musician and surprisingly sturdy ufologist shows him groovin’ to a loop that sounds a lot like the verses to No Doubt‘s “Spiderwebs.”
Is the spiderlike new tidbit part of an in-the-works Angels And Airwaves tune? That seems to be the case, as DeLonge has been ramping up AVA activity following the band’s latest release, 2017’s We Don’t Need To Whisper Acoustic EP.

And DeLonge’s blink replacement, Alkaline Trio frontman Matt Skiba, recently spoke to Kerrang about playing in both bands. In fact, the musician says his folks are seemingly more stoked at his blink membership than his longtime punk act.

“My parents have always been very supportive,” Skiba says, “but now that I play in blink, all of my parents’ friends are so jazzed that it makes my folks excited. … [I]t is a huge new step—it’s definitely a point in my life that will always stand out.”
