As many of you know, Holland doesn’t have the best track record with keeping Marvel secrets. However, he seemed to prove himself after keeping Tony Stark‘s death in Avengers: Endgame a secret for years before the film was even released.

Now, it looks like Marvel is trusting Holland with the top-secret Spider-Man 3 script. This week, Holland shared a video on his Instagram story confirming that he officially has the script for the upcoming film. He showed off the iPad which holds the script, but assured fans that he won’t be sharing any spoilers anytime soon.

“I’m about to find out what I’m going to be doing for the next five months,” he says. “I’m not going to tell you anything about it because I’ve learned my lesson.”

In typical Holland fashion, however, he appears to break the iPad mere minutes after having it delivered to him.

Over the weekend, Holland landed in Atlanta to begin filming the new movie. He shared another video just as he landed in Georgia to confirm the news.

Holland’s co-star Zendaya also landed in Atlanta this week to begin filming.

Eagle-eyed fans discovered that filming for Spider-Man 3 is underway after various notices were posted around New York City. One fan snapped a photo of a no parking sign that features the film’s working title Serenity Now, a reference to Seinfeld.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve learned that Spider-Man 3 is shaping up to be quite the film. Benedict Cumberbatch is reprising his role as Doctor Strange for the new Marvel film. Doctor Strange is set to become Peter Parker‘s new mentor following Stark’s death in Avengers: Endgame.

As well, Jamie Foxx is bringing back the villainous Electro for Spider-Man 3. However, Foxx may not be the only familiar face making a return. Rumors are swirling that both Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire may be reprising their Peter Parker roles for Spider-Man 3.

Last week, Sony finally addressed these casting rumors. In a brief statement to ET Canada, the company said that these castings “are not confirmed.” However, this could still mean that the actors are in talks to return for the film.

Spider-Man 3 is set to arrive on Dec. 17, 2021. However, according to ScreenRant, the first look at the new film may be arriving sooner than you think. Last week, ExpoCine held its annual Latin America-based event virtually. Warner Bros., Disney, Universal, Netflix and Sony all appeared at the convention.

At the event, Camila Pacheco, who is the Executive Marketing Director of Sony Pictures Entertainment in Brazil, revealed that the film has already started production. Additionally, fans can expect a first look to arrive this December, a full year before the film is scheduled to premiere.
