Tony Hawk and the Avalanches are selling this rare X-Ray vinyl for charity
All of the proceeds raised will go to his non-profit organization Skatepark Project.
With the help of Melbourne-based custom vinyl factory Small Run, The Avalanches have pressed a limited edition run of their latest single "Reflecting Light."
Only 12 copies of the 7-inch exist and Hawk happens to own one of them. Some fans might even notice the X-Ray scan on the vinyl from when Hawk dislocated his fingers in June.
"In a tribute to the 'bone records' of the 1950's Soviet era, (where banned western records were cut onto X-Ray film and smuggled into the USSR to avoid authorities) we've come together with the one and only @tonyhawk for a unique one off pressing."
Hawk is selling his vinyl to benefit his non-profit Skatepark Project. The organization helps build safe and inclusive public skateparks in disadvantaged communities. To date, the non-profit has awarded over $10 million to more than 600 public skatepark projects across the U.S. It has also raised $150,000 in support of the Skateistan program in Afghanistan, Cambodia and South Africa.
