
Trent Reznor lands first Emmy nomination for ‘Watchmen’ score
The list of nominations for the 2020 Emmy Awards is finally here.
Due to coronavirus, the nominations announcement was originally delayed from July 14 to July 28. However, the official award ceremony is still scheduled for Sept. 20 and will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.

For the 2020 Emmy Awards, Netflix dominated with 160 total nominations. Other streaming services including Disney+, Hulu and Apple TV+ also made their mark for this year's Emmys.
Included in the list is Trent Reznor. The Nine Inch Nails frontman earns his first Emmy nomination alongside Atticus Ross for the music in HBO's limited series Watchmen. The duo previously won an Academy Award for Best Original Score for The Social Network soundtrack in 2010.
The Mandalorian, Stranger Things, Schitt's Creek and Dead To Me also received nominations. Newcomer Paul Mescal earns his first Emmy nomination for his role in Hulu's Normal People. He is up against some Hollywood legends including Hugh Jackman and Mark Ruffalo in the Outstanding Lead Actor In A Limited Series or TV Movie category.
Zendaya also earns her first Emmy nomination for her role in Euphoria. She is among Jennifer Aniston, Oliva Colman and Sandra Oh in the Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series category.
