'Cards Against Humanity' buys land to block Trump's border wall
The company behind risqué party game Cards Against Humanity has purchased a section of land along the United States-Mexico border to help block the controversial wall that President Donald Trump has long promised to build there.

“If you voted for Trump,” reads an FAQ point on the website launched by the humorously offensive Cards Against Humanity, and as reported by The Independent, “you might want to sit this one out.” But how can a card game block a wall?
Well, it seems the makers of Cards Against Humanity are doing this thing legit, legally speaking. They’ve rounded up a team of lawyers to protect their bought-and-paid-for border strip from any plans involving Trump’s wall construction.
“We’ve purchased a plot of vacant land on the border and retained a law firm [specializing] in eminent domain to make it as time-consuming and expensive as possible for the wall to get built,” the company said in a promotional holiday post.
Many musicians and artists have come out against Trump’s border wall in the past, including Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich, who told Mexico’s Las Estrellas network that his veteran metal act strives to be more inclusive in their approach.
“I don’t think the world needs any walls,” he said. “I think we need to bring people together. … Metallica travels all over the world, and through music we try to bring people together. So whether we’re in Mexico or whether we’re in Asia or whether we’re in Europe or whatever. We encourage as many different people from as many different backgrounds to come together and share music and life.”
