You can put yourself in twenty one pilots’ “Level Of Concern” video

twenty one pilots dropped their first music since 2018’s Trench last month with the quarantine-inspired bop “Level Of Concern.” In addition to spawning a hilarious meme and absolutely smashing a number of chart records, the hit now has a new Instagram filter to use at your leisure.

One of the most fun bits of “the “Level Of Concern” video is the neon and blacklight scenes of Josh Dun drumming. Well, now you can feel like you’re there too with the newest filter.

twenty one pilots dropped “Level Of Concern” back in early-April. The song saw the band donating a portion of proceeds to Live Nation‘s Crew Nation initiative launched at the beginning of April. Tyler Joseph mentioned he wanted the song to be a part of benefiting others.

“I also want a portion of whatever money this song makes to go to this charity I saw called Crew Nation,” he says. “It provides funding for people who work in the live music industry who don’t have a job right now.

“No one knows when live music will get back on its feet,” he continues. “I’ve met so many amazing people working venues and touring with bands. Hopefully, we can do something to help some through this song.”

The song is an upbeat, almost dance-y track and avoids many of twenty one pilots’ darker themes

Now, you can feel like you’re right there with Dun with a brand new Instagram filter. The new filter plays the track in the background and all if the glow-in-the-dark stars and bright neon flashes are included as well.

If you’re on a mobile device with a recent version of Instagram, head over to twenty one pilots’ Instagram page. From there, tap the little smiley face tag next to IGTV and click on the video of Dun using the filter to try it yourself. Check out a screenshot below.

In a recent interview on Smallzy’s Celebrity Small Talk with Australian radio host Kent Small, Joseph shared how launching “Level Of Concern” felt like going back in time before the days of being on a major label and having detailed schedules.

“These circumstances, although they are very grave in some sense, have also given us an opportunity to get back to creating and releasing music the way that we did when we first started creating and releasing music, which was all very much in-house,” he said. “You write it, you record it and then just put it out.”

Joseph may have even derived some inspiration from his mother to write the band’s latest single.

“I think my mom made a passing comment to me as all the news was breaking about how she just needed something a little more positive to take her mind off this,” he said. “And I just thought, ‘Man, I feel like maybe that would resonate with a lot of people, including me.’”

Joseph noted that as a songwriter, it’s easy to “overthink things.” In this case, “I knew it was a now or never type of track where if we weren’t able to get it out right away, I probably just would’ve trashed it,” he said.

Looking ahead, few artists can predict exactly what the future of touring looks like.

However, one thing is certain for twenty one pilots, new music is certainly on the way. “I don’t plan on that mystery [of when we’re coming back] stopping us from still creating, because I have to believe that we’ll be back, not only to Australia but just playing shows in general at some point.”

Beyond writing and recording new tracks, Tyler and Jenna Joseph have had their hands full with their three-month-old baby Rosie, who made a little cameo in the “Level Of Concern” music video.

“I’m pretty good at changing diapers,” Joseph said. “So I’ve been working on my skill there.”
