Twenty One Pilots give us a peek at the making of the "Heavydirtysoul" music video—watch
Following the release of their new music video for “Heavydirtysoul,” Twenty One Pilots have released a behind-the-scenes look at how the video (and the epic explosion) came together.

Shot outside their hometown of Columbus, Ohio, the band brought it back where it all began to shoot one of the literally coolest videos they’ve ever made.
“Most bands would probably say ‘Let’s just go to LA.’ It’s warmer, everything’s there,” Tyler Joseph says on the video. “Not us. We said, ‘Guys, we’re shooting a music video. In January. Outside. In Columbus, Ohio.’ What a great way to wrap up the record.”
Basically—it was freezing cold. But the fact that they got to record it near their hometown? So worth it.
The band is currently on tour with Jon Bellion and Judah & the Lion, and if you’ll be catching Twenty One Pilots on the spring leg of their Emotional Roadshow Tour, we have plenty of reasons for you to be excited.
Mutemath supported Twenty One Pilots on the North American leg of the duo's Emotional Roadshow tour last summer, and the two bands created the TOPxMM Mutemath Sessions, which feature a live video and free EP of five reimagined songs. In addition, Twenty One Pilots are nominated for four awards at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards: Favorite Music Group, Favorite New Artist, Favorite Song for “Heathens,” and Favorite Music Video for “Stressed Out.”
