Twenty One Pilots accept first Grammy pantsless

The scene celebrates: Its beloved Twenty One Pilots have taken home the Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/ Group Performance—in their underwear!

“This story starts in Columbus, Ohio. It was a few years ago. And it was before Josh and I were able to make money playing music,” Joseph begins. He goes on to tell how he invited Dun to watch the Grammys with him and some friends.

“As we were watching we noticed that every single one of us was in our underwear,” Joseph recalls. “And seriously—and we were no one at that time—he turned to me and said, ‘You know, if we ever go to the Grammys — if we ever win a Grammy — we should receive it just like this.’

“Not only is this amazing, but I want everyone who’s watching at home to know that you could be next. Because anyone, from anywhere, can do anything.”

Check out their acceptance speech below!

Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun are nominated for five Grammys at this year's ceremony, including Record Of The Year, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song and Best Song Written For Visual Media.
