Unnecessary Censorship with Mayday Parade: 'Black Lines' edition

When Mayday Parade came through town on the AP tour, we spoke to them about their latest album Black Lines, and they had some pretty surprising things to say about growing up, working with producer Mike Sapone and their shared love of the song “Hollow.”

“You kind of have to like re-learn how to $^#& in the studio when you're in a new place with a new producer, and I think that's what we needed to switch things up,” explains vocalist Derek Sanders.

Drummer Jake Bundrick says, “I think everybody just stepped up with their $^#&ing, their songwriting—everything. And we all kind of collectively came in as whole and $^#&ed this record, in my opinion.”
