Laura Jane Grace is burned out on some Against Me! songs

Every music lover has that one good song or album that’s ruined by a shitty time or person. For Laura Jane Grace of the legendary punk outfit, Against Me!, and the acclaimed Laura Jane Grace and the Devouring Mothers, the one thing she hates more than Chicago is people getting engaged at her shows.

Laura Jane also gives a somber eulogy for a friend and reflects on the unexpected tracks that remind her of him.

Laura Jane Grace & The Devouring Mothers recently released a music video for “I Hate Chicago” that got some major Wayne’s World inspiration.

Except instead of Wayne’s World, it’s all “Jane’s World,” and we couldn’t love it more.

Even though the band isn’t really in the video at all, the actors do a hilarious job paying homage to one of our favorite films.

Check out the video for “I Hate Chicago” here.

Laura Jane Grace is not the only person bringing Wayne’s World into 2019. At this year’s Oscars ceremony the stars of the film reunited to present Bohemian Rhapsody.

Also, last month, Laura Jane Grace and the Devouring Mothers were announced for this year’s LOVELOUD festival alongside PVRIS and K. Flay.

LJG also just celebrated co-writing a song for Weezer’s most recent album.

“Happy release day to Weezer’s ‘Black Album’. I owe it to Twitter that I was able to be a part of writing a song for this. Endlessly thankful to Rivers for letting me be a part of his process…” Grace wrote on Twitter.

“How many times in life do you get to say that you helped write a Weezer song? Today’s my fuckin daaaaayyyyyy!” she continued.
