Miss Fortune - "Chasing Dreams" (Video Premiere)
Miss Fortune signed to Sumerian Records in December with a promise of a debut album A Spark To Believe produced by Kris Crummett (Sleeping With Sirens, Issues) out this spring. Get another taste of what is to come from them with today's debut—their new music video for “Chasing Dreams.”
The video features classic bandstand-style performance scenes, which is fitting when you look at the band's other associated imagery. The album cover for A Spark To Believe features a black-and-white drive-in movie, classic cars and a raging storm in the background.
“When we shot the music video for Chasing Dreams, we really wanted to embody the more 'vintage' aspect of our sound,” says frontman Mikey Sawyer. “I'm a huge fan of Kurt Cobain, so we decided to pay homage to Nirvana's classic music video for 'In Bloom’. We are very pleased with how the video came out, and it is with great happiness that we are able to finally share it with you all today.”
“'Chasing Dreams,” Sawyer continued, “is a song about putting everything on the line just for the possibility of achieving your goals. Being a touring musician, I've been forced to give up a steady love life, a normal paying job, and precious time with my family that I'll never get back. I wrote this song not only to help me through my struggles, but to help fans battle whatever obstacles life throws their way.”
