What are the Maine doing in the desert?

We caught up with the Maine at their desert hideaway in Joshua Tree, where they’ve been recording the follow-up to 2013’s Forever Halloween. The band will release their fifth album, American Candy, this spring. “I think the songs and the record are an homage to when we first started out,” said frontman John O’Callaghan.
