1. Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross release new single


Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross released their newest single, “Phases.” “‘Phases’ is one of our favorite songs,” they explain. “It’s about the journey that life can take us on and how we all go through these different changes.” The track is a follow-up to their self-titled debut EP and can be downloaded and streamed here.

2. Free Throw debut new music video


Free Throw released a new music video for “Today Is Especially Delicious,” taken off their upcoming album, What’s Past Is Prologue. “‘Today Is Especially Delicious’ is a song that represents a turning point in the overall story of the album and also in my life,” vocalist Cory Castro says. “Though a fun and catchy song, it represents a time when I was realizing the consequences that my lifestyle was taking on my everyday life and mental health.”  The album is available for preorder here. 3. Wind Walkers release Kingdom Hearts 3 cover song


Wind Walkers released a cover of Kingdom Hearts 3’s theme song, “Face My Fears.” The track was originally performed by Hikaru Utada and Skrillex and follows up on the band’s last cover, “Without Me” by Halsey.  “It’s a different sound when compared to the music we’ve recorded in the past,” vocalist Corey Prokowiew says. “We’re all about trying something new and something out of our own comfort zone.” The track is available to download and stream here.

4. PUP release two new songs

 

PUP released two new tracks off their upcoming record, Morbid Stuff. “Sibling Rivalry” and “Scorpion Hill” can be streamed on YouTube here. The LP will be available April 5 and can be preordered here. The band will also head out on a spring tour, and tickets are available now. Check out the dates below.

5. Cody Lovaas releases music video


Singer-songwriter Cody Lovaas released the first single, “Talk Slow” from his forthcoming EP, Honestly. The EP drops May 3, and you can check out the track here.

6. Parting Gift unveil new music video

Parting Gift released a new music video for “3:07 (Moonlight).” “This is the first cry for help, the plea to the enemy,” vocalist Zac Vernon says. “When one attempts to face their nemesis and ask it what it wants, only to realize it wants nothing but the suffering.” The track is featured on their new EP Ensom, out now via Fearless Records. 7. MARINA releases new single, music video


MARINA released her newest single, “Orange Trees,” along with an accompanying video. The track is taken off her forthcoming album LOVE + FEAR. LOVE will feature tracks that express a desire to enjoy life, while FEAR will address the singer’s insecurities. Preorders for the album are available here. 8. Wallows release “Scrawny” music video


Wallows prepare for a fight in their brand-new music video for “Scrawny.” The track is taken off their debut album, Nothing Happens, which was released today via Atlantic Records and is available for purchase here. “It feels great to finally be releasing our debut record,” the band says. “We’ve been playing together for the past 10 years, so it’s been a long time coming. Nothing Happens reflects on our experiences growing up together, our loss of innocence and the thoughts and fears that come with transitioning into adulthood.” They’ll embark on a headlining tour this summer in support of the new LP. 8. The Evening debut new cover featuring Luke Holland


The Evening and Luke Holland are closing out the week with some sweet ’80s vibes with their cover of “Everybody Wants To Rule The World.” The track was originally performed by Tears For Fears. The group began as a studio project in 2018 started by producer/instrumentalist Taylor Larson and vocalist Kinnie Lane and has since become a full band. They’re currently working on new music.
