Watch Taylor Swift dance through purple clouds in "Lavender Haze" video

Taylor Swift made fans meet her at midnight once again — this time for the release of her highly-anticipated music video for “Lavender Haze.”

Written and directed by Swift, the visual features the pop star in bed with her partner (played by trans actor Laith Ashley) before lighting what appears to be incense and dancing through clouds of purple smoke. Along the way, she soaks in steamy purple water and watches her partner as a weatherman on the television. By the end of the music video, the walls of her apartment are knocked down and Swift is surrounded by floating fish as if she’s in a fishbowl herself.

Swift’s last music video from Midnights was for her song “Bejeweled” and included special appearances from Laura Dern, Haim and Dita von Teese.
