Watch Hawthorne Heights perform "Silver Strand" for APTV Sessions

In APTV's latest Acoustic Session video, Hawthorne Heights performed a pared-down version of “Silver Strand.”

“The meaning behind it is there are a lot of false things out there that kind of lend you safety,” says singer JT Woodruff. “This song is about how we live in other places but when we come home, it's cold and freezing.”

Woodruff was referring to his preference of California's weather, as opposed to Ohio's brutal winters.
