Herrera discusses his creative process, how he got into music and why he chose the bass guitar as his instrument.

“I met a local band and watched them practice, and they just sounded amazing,” Herrera says about his early exposure to punk music. “It was like Bad Religion—really fast, aggressive music. It said a lot of the things I was feeling.”

“The cool thing as a bass player and the writer is that I can continue to add a lot of texture, a lot of depth to the song,” he adds about his creative process. “As a bass player, I can really get in there and really play with things and do harmonies.”
