Awsten Knight addresses fan concerns over Waterparks opener’s lyrics
Next month, Waterparks will embark on a headlining tour in support of their recently debuted album, FANDOM, with support coming from Kitten and Yung Pinch. Yesterday afternoon, fans began pointing out a couple of Yung Pinch’s lyrics which included the use of the word “retarded” in his 2017 track “Underdogs.”

Last night, Awsten Knight responded to the concerns stating that he does not condone the use of such words and was not aware of it prior to booking Yung Pinch for the tour.
“Yikes. I def don’t condone using that word or anything else that’d upset anyone like that & I wasn’t aware when we agreed to the booking. It’s not as simple as “kick him off” there are contracts in place that aren’t able to simply be backed out of, especially this close to tour. I didn’t hear all his songs before agreeing to the booking and again, I don’t condone the word.”
