Waterparks announce support change days before 'FANDOM' tour begins
Waterparks will be kicking off their much anticipated FANDOM tour this Friday, but not before a slight lineup adjustment.
The rock trio took to Instagram yesterday to announce that one of the tour’s openers is out, with a new face in De’Wayne Jackson to fill the now vacant slot.

“Yung Pinch will no longer perform on the FANDOM tour,” the band announced. “Best wishes to him. We’re excited to announce that our sweet boy De’Wayne will now be joining us for all the shows.”

This announcement comes just days before the tour kicks off and weeks after fans expressed concerns over Yung Pinch, due to language used in some of his tracks.
Knight took to Twitter to acknowledge the concerns over Yung Pinch’s use of the word “retarded” in his 2017 track “Underdogs.”

Following the outrage, fans took to Twitter to demand Yung Pinch be pulled from the FANDOM tour.

Following Knight’s comment, Yung Pinch took to his own social media to apologize to Waterparks fans. It’s unclear if fan response is the cause as no reason was given for the artist’s departure. It is also not stated if Waterparks asked Yung Pinch to leave or if the artist walked away on his own terms.

Waterparks released their third studio album, FANDOM, on Oct. 11. This album marks Waterparks debut release with Hopeless Records.
The three-piece dropped their second record, Entertainment, just last year before embarking on their fall tour of the same name. Waterparks recently recorded an “Entertainment 2019” mashup to feel like they “actually own [their] own old music.” Check it out here.
After seeing De’Wayne perform live, Awsten Knight revelaed the trio couldn’t help but ask him to join the Entertainment tour, so it’s no surprise to see the Parx boys asking him back again.
