Waterparks are back and go harder than ever on "REAL SUPER DARK"

Waterparks fans won’t have to “freak out” much longer. The pop-punk experimentalists have announced that their fifth studio album, INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY, which they’ve been teasing for some time, will arrive April 14 via Fueled by Ramen, and dropped an all-new single along with the news.

Today, the trio shared “REAL SUPER DARK,” a song that finds them going harder than ever and features splashy production with a touch of glitch-pop influence. Frontman Awsten Knight throws his voice into everything from piercing screams and warped rap-like delivery to quick, alluring melodies as he sings about anxieties and omnipresent pressures.

The single comes after the band shared several other album tracks last year, including “FUCK ABOUT IT” (feat. blackbear), “FUNERAL GREY,” and “SELF-SABATOGE,” which also saw a remix from Good Charlotte. Along with the new music, the band also recently announced a slate of tour dates, so you can catch them performing INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY and old favorites on the road soon.

Listen to “REAL SUPER DARK” below to catch wind of what might be the group’s heaviest album yet, and check out their album artwork, as well.
