Named after their sixth full-length album, Six also serves as a special ode to their fans.
“There are songs on this album that aren’t like the second through fifth albums,” frontman Travis Clark says. “They’re a lot like the first. Maybe it was our way of doing a tip of the hat to the fans who have stuck around.”
We The Kings’ new track definitely does not disappoint. With fun, poppy riffs reminiscent of the band’s early years, “Even If It Kills Me” follows a bouncy progression intertwined with melodic and catchy vocals.
“Even If It Kills Me” explores the realization that despite rocky relationships, a person’s self-worth should never tarnish. Clark’s vocal composition exemplifies the idea that the only one you have to prove anything to is yourself.
“Finally it’s here,” Clark says. “The old-school We The Kings song that the fans have been waiting for…this one’s for you.”

Despite having a sound so reflective of their younger years, We The Kings’ latest album features ballads about the changes the band are currently confronting. With themes such as life, death and marriage, Six stands as the bands’ 11-track memoir.
Six will be out July 6 on S-Curve Records. You can preorder your copy here.
