It’s been a minute since we last heard new music from We The Kings. In 2019, they released “Turn It UP” which followed up 2018’s Six and Seasons Greetings From The Sandbar.

Now, the Floridian band are back with their first piece of new music in 2020. On Friday, We The Kings unveiled “These Nights,” a nostalgic pop-rock anthem that fans will love. While the band typically creates songs about love and relationships, Clark had some different inspiration for “These Nights.”

He shares that the coronavirus pandemic has greatly impacted We The Kings. Since they are among countless artists who are unable to tour right now, he found himself reminiscing about the band’s time on the road over the years.

Eventually, he wrote “These Nights” which depicts particular moments from throughout their touring years. As well, the new song holds that Self-Titled era sound fans will appreciate.

“I really miss being at shows with my best friends and being around others with a shared love for the live experience,” Clark says. “Despite that, this is probably the best time to write new music.”

Over the past few months, We The Kings have been in the studio. They are currently working on their upcoming EP SAGA which is slated to be released later this year.

Despite the setbacks they’ve faced amid the pandemic, We The Kings are thankful for the time they’ve been given to create music and be with their family.

“Despite all the circumstances, we are thankful for the time to be with our family and know we owe it to the fans to deliver new music,” Clark says. “Not only is this our therapy and outlet, but we understand that there will be those who will appreciate something fresh from the band.”

Back in July, Clark teamed up with Mayday Parade for their cover of the Beatles‘ “I Want To Hold Your Hand.” The clever socially-distant video also featured former Real Friends frontman Dan Lambton and members of the Maine, Grayscale and Knuckle Puck.
