Weezer will celebrate “Blue Album” 30th anniversary with tour and reissue in 2024

Weezer‘s 1994 debut album Blue Album turns 30 next year, and the band are gearing up to celebrate. Rivers Cuomo says in a new interview with Collider that an expanded reissue and an anniversary tour are on the way.

“We are going to give it its due respect and come out with a really amazing deluxe package with a bunch of additional material, and of course, we’ve gotta do some kind of epic tour,” he says.

Weezer’s 2024 U.K. tour with the Smashing Pumpkins ends in June, and Cuomo says “there’s this very suspicious blank space in our calendar for months after that, so I’d keep your eye on that.”

Weezer previously gave Blue Album a deluxe reissue for its 10th anniversary in 2004, and they performed both Blue and Pinkerton at a series of special 2010 shows.
