Wristmeetrazor battle with lost love in “Loathsome” video—watch

Wristmeetrazor are teaming up with AP to premiere the video for their track “Loathsome” from their debut full-length record, Misery Never Forgets, released earlier this year on Prosthetic Records.

The band started as a solo project out of guitarist/vocalist Jonah Thorne’s bedroom, but after releasing a demo in 2017, he added in bassist/vocalist Justin Fornof. Later that year, they put out two EPs and toured across the Southeast U.S. before rounding out the lineup with drummer/vocalist Bryan Prosser.

Directed by Errick Easterday, the video sees the band tearing through the gloomy track spliced between clips of the members destroying bundles of flowers and creating a bloody mess.

Fornof explained in a statement that the song is about the loss of love and relates to another track on the album.

“‘Loathsome’ is about the decadence of love and is the precursor to ‘Come On In, The Water’s Pink.’ It’s a song about a girl. You can hear it sung a million times, in a million different ways, and it always sounds fresh to someone,” Fornof says.
