YUNGBLUD and Dan Reynolds cheat death in “original me” video

YUNGBLUD just unleashed “original me” with Imagine Dragons vocalist Dan Reynolds earlier this week, and the duo are already delivering its high-octane video.

Taken from the underrated youth EP, the video follows the equally as cinematic “hope for the underrated youth” video that dropped last month.

“original me” features both vocalists playing off each other’s energy in a deserted junkyard. Taking an unexpected turn, YUNGBLUD and Reynolds continue to cheat death, offering up the perfect metaphor for getting back up every time you’re knocked down.

Filmed in Las Vegas, the video was directed by award-winning filmmaker Jordan Bahat, who previously worked with twenty one pilots on “Holding On To You.” The director also has credits with Meg Myers (“Desire”) and fun. (“Why Am I The One”).

Summing up the video in the best way possible, YUNGBLUD explained it was “fucking bonkers” ahead of release along with the announcement he’d be heading to Times Square.

In true Dom fashion, he crowdsurfed his way through the gathering, which you can see below.
