Hear YUNGBLUD and Denzel Curry tackle social injustices in “Lemonade”
YUNGBLUD and Denzel Curry have joined forces for the new single “Lemonade.” The incendiary track tackles social injustices, inequality and inclusion in today’s society.
“Lemonade” appears on the Madden NFL 21 Soundtrack along with 18 other new songs.

Last month, YUNGBLUD released his explosive single “Strawberry Lipstick” along with an entertaining new video. Shortly, following the single’s release, Bring Me The Horizon confirmed they have a collaboration with YUNGBLUD in the works.
While fans wait for the YUNGBLUD and BMTH collab, YUNGBLUD is joining forces with another artist for a new song. Called “Lemonade,” the genre-bending new single features rapper Denzel Curry.
As YUNGBLUD explains, “Lemonade” is all about the pressures and inequality society enacts on its citizens each day. YUNGBLUD and Curry decided to come together to create a song that addresses the injustices that are still prevalent in everyday life.
“‘Lemonade’ is about the immense pressure society and circumstance placing on my brain right now,” YUNGBLUD says. “It’s about wanting to explode. It’s about the injustice my generation is fighting against every day. We know where we stand, we know what we want, and we are going to get it.”
YUNGBLUD further shares that recruiting Curry for the new song was really a no-brainer. As a fellow activist, Curry is also an artist who greatly inspires YUNGBLUD.

“Denzel was the perfect fit because he is a true activist,” he continues. “His lyrics inspire me daily and we’re fighting for the same things: equality and inclusion across the fuckin planet. The song came out so quickly and easily and I can’t wait to split up the pit once the pandemic is over.”

YUNGBLUD is set to release his sophomore album later this year. As well, he is preparing to release his new graphic novel Twisted Tales Of The Ritalin Club 2: Weird Times At Quarry Banks University. Preorders are available here.
