‘Zombieland: Double Tap’ posters give closer look at OG, new characters

The sequel of Zombieland, Zombieland: Double Tap, has taken almost 10 years to finally become a reality.

Over the summer, we finally saw the original cast of Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin return to their roles in the first official trailer.

Now, the film has unleashed a series of new posters that give us a closer look at the OG cast, and newly added characters.

To take it back a step, in January, we got our first poster for the film along with the confirmation of a title featuring those four original cast members.

We also learned that new characters would be added, played by Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley), Zoey Deutch (Flower), Rosario Dawson (Jane the Virgin) and Luke Wilson (Old School).

Eisenberg confirmed that the film will pick up ten years later, with our favorite characters making a home in the abandoned White House.

“It took ten years to make because we were just insistent that the script be great — which sounds like it should be obvious, but that’s not always the case,” Eisenberg explains.

“Because the movie is not only popular but also beloved, people feel like it has some personal resonance for them, so we wanted to make sure that it’s as good or better than the first, and it feels that way! We have two weeks left and it feels really great. Everything we’ve done feels very funny.”

Now, the new posters show us even more about what the characters will be like a decade later.

You can see the new posters below.

As previously stated, the film dropped its first trailer a few months back after what felt like an eternity of waiting.

It looks like our makeshift family will have to “nut up or shut up” as they suffer through growing pains and meet even more survivors.

Check out the trailer below.

Zombieland: Double Tap hits theaters Oct. 18. Read the synopsis for the upcoming zombie flick below:
