Set It Off recently released an early album of the year contender in Midnight and are poised to paint the world blue, but they just can’t seem to get out of the shadow of the 1996 crime flick Set It Off. In this APTV exclusive, the Set It Off guys talk about their early Fall Out […]
Goodbyes Stink
All of a sudden, I know what it must feel like to be Josh Farro. And to a lesser extent: Zac Farro. (Nobody thinks it was his idea.) After five years at Alternative Press, three cover stories and countless nights spent before the warm glow of my computer, I’m stepping down as web editor to […]

One well-received self-titled debut later, the band are back with the ambitious Between The Lines, an unabashed homage to old-school hip-hop, ’50s doo-wop and […]
The Saint Alvia Cartel
The Saint Alvia Cartel The Saint Alvia Cartel [4/5]
So we liked A Poet’s Life, Mr. Rancid’s first solo-and primarily ska/reggae-album, which reminded us we love this punk-flavored spin on the roots and island sound. But sorry, it wasn’t the kind of pioneering work found on the refreshingly non-punk punk self-titled release of […]
