Lady Gaga wins first Oscar for Best Original Song for “Shallow”
Lady Gaga has won her first Oscar for Best Original Song for “Shallow” from A Star Is Born.
The musician won after performing the song live with Bradley Cooper from the smash hit movie that warmed the hearts of every viewer watching.

She thanked many people, including director and co-star Cooper, in her emotional acceptance speech.

After the amazing performance, they were given two full standing ovations from the audience. We’re pretty sure everyone watching wouldn’t have been mad if they just came back and performed it again.

Lady Gaga is also nominated for Actress In A Leading Role for A Star Is Born. Her first Oscar nomination was in 2016 with “Til It Happens To You.” The song appeared in documentary The Hunting Ground and lost Best Original Song to Spectre’s “Writing’s on the Wall” by Sam Smith.
In addition, A Star Is Born is also nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards this year.
