Alex Gaskarth is most recognizable as the frontman for All Time Low and most recently his position in Simple Creatures with blink-182’s Mark Hoppus. As a result, you would think that Gaskarth has enough on his plate already. But it seems like the vocalist just wants to keep on giving.

According to The Baltimore Sun, Gaskarth has made an investment in Full Tilt Brewing, a brewing company located in the Govans neighborhood in Baltimore, Maryland.

Full Tilt founders Nick Fertig and Dan Baumiller originally opened the brewery using Peabody Heights Brewery’s facilities in Baltimore six years ago. While it was efficient, they wanted a place of their own. Thanks to Gaskarth’s and others’ contributions, that dream can finally come true.

“It didn’t take long to convince him; he saw how much potential this place has,” Fertig says.

With his involvement in the scene between ATL and Simple Creatures, Gaskarth thought it was something he should do.

“Seeing how those worlds collide so often, I felt like it was important to get involved,” he says.

Gaskarth isn’t the first All Time Low member to get into a bar-related venture. Guitarist Jack Barakat has been involved with Baltimore’s The Rockwell and Los Angeles-based The Riff.

Gaskarth made his own investment in June last year, and the space had a soft opening in December. The grand opening was held this past weekend.

Inside the 6,000-square foot taproom, you’ll find arcade games, graffiti and a shuffleboard. There are also garage doors that will be opened in the warmer seasons.

“It’s really just dynamic and versatile, which I think is really special in this day and age,” Gaskarth says.

Furtig says they’re working on acquiring a live entertainment licence to add to the essence of the experience, focusing on the local music scene.

He goes on to explain that his reasoning for investing in Full Tilt goes hand in hand with why he plays music.

“Food and music and the beverage [industry], it all connects people,” Gaskarth says. “I think those are three very key things that help solidify a community, and help them feel good and celebrate. That is kind of the crux of what I’ve built my career around, trying to make people feel good.”

Full Tilt Brewing is located at 5604 York Road in Baltimore, Maryland. You can get more information on their website and check out some photos of the grand opening below.
