Metal Goes Miley: Silence The Messenger cover "Wrecking Ball"

San Antonio metalcore quintet Silence The Messenger may take their music seriously, but they don't take themselves too seriously to do something fun and a wee bit ridiculous—like covering Miley Cyrus' “Wrecking Ball.”

“We've just always talked about what songs would be fun or ridiculous to cover,” the band told us. “After a handful of songs that were pretty out there for us, we chose “Wrecking Ball.” Too many bands take themselves too seriously in the genre of music we play, so we decided to branch out a bit, have some fun, and cover a Miley Cyrus song!”

Silence The Messenger released their latest album Achilles last fall.
