Bert Poncet, the singer of Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! talks about his childhood spent in the mountains of France in this episode of APTV's Note to Self.

“As a little kid, I was really into music, but our parents didn't want us to do any sort of career in music,” he says. “I was very into this American punk-rock music. I remember me buying and watching all the Warped Tour DVDs and thinking, 'Wow, that's awesome.'”

Poncet went to university, and doesn't regret it. However, if he could give advice to his younger self, it would be about considering music more. “When I see my life now and my life a few years ago, it's unbelievable how everything changed so suddenly, and I'm glad it did, actually,” he says. “I wish I could have known all of this a bit earlier. I could have done all of this a little bit younger, I'm getting old right now.”
