Hawthorne Heights find serenity in the inferno on "The Storm"
Ohio rock force Hawthorne Heights have announced a new EP, Lost Lights, out Sept. 8 via Pure Noise Records. The project is the result of frontman JT Woodruff's time away from normal life in pursuit of artistic clarity. "I needed to withdraw from the noise, in a world where everything was falling apart. No internet. No cable. No cellphone service," Woodruff says.
With the only sound around Woodruff being "the gentle roar of a creek that was behind the cabin," the veteran musician found inspiration in the silence of rural Ohio.

"Within that darkest black, I saw what seemed to me like a bright future. I felt myself letting go of things that I didn't realize that I was hanging on to, and I immediately felt relief," Woodruff says.
With the news of the new EP, Hawthorne Heights have unveiled the first single from the introspective project, “The Storm,” an incendiary first taste of the evocative storytelling that resulted from Woodruff’s creative respite.
The band will be on the road this summer at their very own Is For Lovers festival and with a headline run this fall.
