Here's how long it took for Post Malone's new Crocs collab to sell out

Last week, the Post Malone x Crocs Duet Max Clog II collab was announced. The new collection features two new unisex pairs of Crocs clogs in both pink and black colorways.

Now, it looks like the collection wasn’t available too long after it went on sale on Tuesday, Dec 8.

Post Malone has done various collabs with Crocs over the years. Back in 2018, he teamed up with Crocs for the limited-edition Post Malone x Crocs Dimitri Clog. The shoe featured the rapper’s take on the classic clog, plus six custom-designed Jibbitz™ charms and re-creations of his “Stay Away” tattoo and his Posty Co™ logo.

Then, in 2019, Posty and Crocs joined forces again for a pair of slip-on footwear that was available exclusively for Australian fans. The nature-inspired Crocs featured images of the rainforest as well as even more decorative Jibbitz™.

More recently, last week, Posty and Crocs confirmed a new collab was on the way. The Post Malone x Crocs Duet Max Clog II collab features unisex clogs in both black and pink colorways with chunky soles and adjustable heel straps. As well, the shoes come with Post Malone-branded rivets and lanyard clips.

The limited-edition Post Malone x Crocs Duet Max Clog II went on sale Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 10 a.m. ET for $59.99. However, it looks like the collection wasn’t available for long. According to TMZ, the collection sold out in just a few hours.

For those of you that weren’t able to get a pair, they are already being resold on online retailers. However, you may have to pay double what they originally cost. Currently, there are multiple Crocs listings on eBay that are priced around $105 to $140.

To help celebrate the collection’s launch, Post Malone decided to give back to his high school. According to TMZ, Posty gave away a pair of new Crocs to every student at his old school for free. Grapevine High School has a reported student body and faculty staff of 2,000 so that’s a lot of shoes to give away.

TMZ further reports that a spreadsheet was sent around the school for staff and students to record their shoe size. Then, Crocs and Post Malone worked together to distribute the new clogs to every individual in the building.

Alex Fingers, Grapevine’s principal, shared a few photos of the Crocs delivery on social media.

Now, this wasn’t Crocs and Post Malone’s only act of generosity this week. They also gave away 5,000 pairs of shoes to fans worldwide.

“Giving away 5,000 pairs of shoes is how I’m saying ‘thank you’ to my fans. Each time Crocs and I partner, we make something better than before and I’m excited about what we came up with this time around,” Post Malone said in a press release. “Drop 5 is going to be one my fans remember.”
