LILHUDDY joined by Travis Barker, iann dior & Tyson Ritter on new single

LILHUDDY has joined forces with blink-182’s Travis Barker, iann dior and All-American RejectsTyson Ritter on his new single “Don’t Freak Out.”

The collab is the fourth single LILHUDDY has shared ahead of his upcoming debut album, Teenage Heartbreak, out Sept. 17 via Immersive/Geffen Records.

“I cannot explain how excited I am to put this song and video out into the world,” LILHUDDY says in a press release. “I have been teasing the track, and it is hands-down one of my proudest moments as an artist. iann, Tyson and Travis have been such inspirations to me, so being able to collaborate with them on ‘Don’t Freak Out’ was an absolute dream, and I am so grateful for the opportunity.”

The song combines elements of pop, hip-hop and punk, all genres LILHUDDY considers as major influences on his music. Compared to some of his previous singles such as “21st Century Vampire” and “The Eulogy Of You And Me,” “Don’t Freak Out” is a more mellow, summer-infused tune.

Directed by Daniel Russell (Saweetie, Khalid, SZA), the music video for the song takes a somewhat darker tone. It also follows a similar cinematic aesthetic as other LILHUDDY videos such as “America’s Sweetheart,” “The Eulogy Of You And Me” and “21st Century Vampire.”

In the visual, the singer’s fans kidnap and drag him into the trunk of a car before tying him to the front of a monster truck. Then, filmed inside an abandoned factory, LILHUDDY, dior, Barker and Ritter passionately perform in front of fiery orange flames while rain pours down on them.

Teenage Heartbreak arrives Sept. 17 and is available for preorder here.

“Don’t Freak Out” lyrics

I am a broken record, you are my missing piece
Even though sometimes I treat you like you’re my enemy
I got this stupid habit of pushing you away
I say that I want you to leave, but I want you to stay

I’m sorry, I’m crazy
Just hear me out

Don’t freak out if I’m not OK
Don’t freak out if I tell you things
Don’t freak out if I leave you
Don’t freak out ’cause I need you
Don’t freak out if I tell you secrets
‘Bout my past and all my demons
It might be crazy, but if I gave you my heart now
Don’t freak out

We gon’ end up back where we started
Gotta get away from your love ’cause it’s toxic
Didn’t have to do it, but I’m already off it
Playin’ with the love, well you better keep caution
I’ma pour another drink, rollin’ up my dreams
Yeah, I wanna let go, it was make-believe
I can’t hold it in, not another minute
Always seem to act up when I get drunk

I’m sorry
I’m crazy
Just hear me out

Don’t freak out if I’m not OK
Don’t freak out if I tell you things
Don’t freak out if I leave you
Don’t freak out ’cause I need you
Don’t freak out if I tell you secrets
‘Bout my past and all my demons
It might be crazy, but if I gave you my heart now
Don’t freak out

Tell me all the words that’ll make you stay
Tell me what to do just to make it right
How many times do I have to say I’m fine, I’m fine?
Tell me all the words that’ll make you stay
Tell me what to do just to make it right
How many times do I have to say I’m fine, I’m fine? (Fine)

I’m sorry
I’m crazy
Just hear me out
Don’t freak out if I’m not OK
