On Oct. 13, Apple announced its 2020 flagship smartphones: the iPhone 12 Pro ($999) and Max ($1099) which both come with 5G capabilities. The 6.1-inch 12 Pro and 6.7-inch 12 Pro Max measure bigger than 2019’s 5.8-inch 11 Pro and 6.5-inch 11 Pro Max. In fact, the 12 Pro Max is officially Apple’s largest phone to date. The iPhone 12 also come in four colors – gray, stainless steel, gold, and a new blue.

However, there are a number of details about the iPhone 12 that consumers aren’t stoked on. To start, the new phone features a squared-off design reminisce of the iPhone 5. It also still has many of the same capabilities as the iPhone 11. As well, chargers and headphones are no longer included.

Earlier this year, it was rumored that Apple is eliminating chargers and wired EarPod from phone boxes. This is in efforts to reduce the company’s carbon footprint and production costs. However, the new phone still comes with a USB-C to Lightning cable for charging.

Consumers believe that Apple may be running out of ideas for the new iPhones. Given the iPhone 12’s small upgrade from the iPhone 11 and similar features to previous phones, many don’t plan on purchasing the iPhone 12. This is especially true since the phones no longer come with a charger or EarPods yet are still incredibly pricey.
