Marvel reveals Hawkeye’s mysterious trainee in ‘Avengers: Endgame’ trailer

Avengers: Endgame fans are probably in the midst of binging trailers and reading online fan theories in anticipation for what seems to already be the movie of the year.

One of the most puzzling moments from one of the trailers is when Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) is seen training a young woman in archery. Fans have probably rewatched the scene dozens of times to try to see who it was.

Now, we finally have some answers.

To take it back a step, there were two main fan theories about who the woman could be when the trailer first aired.

The first was that it was Hawkeye’s teenage daughter. The second was a Marvel character named Kate Bishop. She’s an archer who used the code name Hawkeye at one point in time.

It was previously a mystery, until Marvel just released a series of 15 high-resolution photos from the film, including a shot of the archery scene.

The photos are complete with captions. The archery one reads, “Marvel Studios’ AVENGERS: ENDGAME..L to R: Hawkeye/Clint Barton Jeremy Renner and daughter (Sophia Russo).”

Sophia Russo is the Endgame director oe Russo’s daughter, who has previously had a small role in the franchise.

With that information, fans have concluded that it’s Clint’s daughter. If they were to make a story out of Kate Bishop, they would have probably cast a name actor.

We’re only 4 days away from one of the most highly anticipated films in MCU history. Yesterday, the franchise released a new teaser that gave us a first look at Valkyrie.

You can check that out below.

To no surprise, Marvel has kept a tight lip on the forthcoming film, even going as far as to include some fake footage in the trailers to throw off any potential spoilers. It’s pretty impressive they have fake footage to use considering it apparently has a leaked runtime of over three hours.

While it was previously announced that Endgame would close out Phase 3 of the MCU, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige revealed he now has other plans.

Feige revealed the change during an interview in Shanghai where he was asked about the upcoming film, Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Previously, Feige stated he wanted Peter Parker to kick off Phase 4 of the MCU. But, during this interview, he shocked us all with some surprising news.

When asked about the forthcoming Spider-Man film, he states:

“It’s the end of the third phase… You’re the first one I’ve told that to.” Marvel is keeping those surprises coming.

In other news, Twitter users were recently granted tons of emojis of nearly all the characters in the film.

While you’re online playing with all the new MCU emojis, be careful to avoid possible spoilers as footage from the film is reportedly leaked and available online.

Avengers: Endgame will be monumental for so many ways. For one, it will feature the final cameo by Marvel legend  Stan Lee, who passed away last year at age 95.

Also, the film has broken major records in ticket sales ahead of its release. For one, it’s selling five times as many tickets as Infinity War during its first week of presales. This should come as no surprise with the demand of tickets being crazy enough for fans to spend upwards of $15,000 for a pair.

Also, the film has broken the record for Atom Tickets’ best-selling movie of all time in only 10 days.

Currently the Marvel movie is estimated to open between $230 million to $283 million domestically. Also, it has a worldwide projection of an astounding $800 million.

You can see one of the trailers for the film below.

If you’re a die-hard MCU fan, you can snag a Marvel Movie Marathon ticket from AMC. The chain confirmed they would be showing a 59 hour marathon of all 22 Marvel films leading up to Endgame at select theaters later this month.

Avengers: Endgame hits theaters this Friday, April 26.
