Demi Lovato is “awake and with her family” following an apparent overdose Tuesday morning. A source revealed to Yahoo that it was not caused by heroin, as previously reported by TMZ.

“Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support,” a rep for Lovato told Yahoo in a statement. “Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now.”

Pop megastar (and fellow emo fan) Demi Lovato was admitted to a Los Angeles hospital earlier today following a heroin overdose, according to TMZ.

The star was found unconscious at her Hollywood Hills home where she was treated with Narcan, an emergency treatment for narcotic overdoses, before being transported for treatment. She is currently in stable condition, as reported by PEOPLE.

Lovato fully embraces her emo side having been featured on songs with Fall Out Boy (“Irresistible”) and We The Kings (“We’ll Be A Dream”) throughout her career. The singer also did her best Paramore performance at Emo Nite LA last summer.

Several members of the music scene sent their support to Lovato.

We wish Demi and her family the best in this difficult time.
