If you’re a big fan of the Disney classics, but VHS tapes just aren’t your style anymore, we have some incredible news for you. The entire Disney Vault will soon be added to a new streaming service from Disney themselves.
According to PopSugar, the streaming service, called Disney Plus, is set to launch later this year.
The library will include all Disney films, dating back to their 1920’s cartoons. That said, Disney Plus will also offer classics such as Snow White and Dumbo. Additionally, modern films such as Frozen and Wreck-It Ralph will be also added.
“The service, which I mentioned earlier is going to launch later in the year, is going to combine what we call library product, movies, and television, with a lot of original product as well, movies and television,” Disney CEO Bob Iger says. “And at some point fairly soon after launch it will house the entire Disney motion picture library, so the movies that you speak of that traditionally have been kept in a ‘vault’ and brought out basically every few years will be on the service.”
However, some people have raised an eyebrow on whether every film will from the Vault will *actually* be available. For example, Song Of The South, a film that has been regarded as racist since its release in 1946, has a few critics speaking out against Disney’s “entire Vault” idea.

I believe “Song of the South” is in Disney Maximum Security Prison, and not the Disney Vault. https://t.co/ePNbner7nc

Setting that alarming point aside, Disney isn’t just stopping at the Vault. In fact, the animation studio intends on adding anticipated blockbuster films such as Avengers: Endgame and Star Wars: Episode IX within a year of their releases, according to DigitalTrends.
Disney Plus also has intentions of producing their own content, much like Netflix. According to DigitalTrends, the company already has plans to make television series based off of the Marvel and Star Wars universes.
