'IT' star talks working with Bill Skarsgard on Hulu's 'Castle Rock'
It looks like some of the IT stars are coming together, and it’s not going to be in the small town of Derry, Maine.

Chosen Jacobs, who played the young version of Mike Hanlon in IT, will be making his debut in Hulu’s Castle Rock this week, and prior to the episode’s release, Jacobs shared what it was like working on the show.
The young actor revealed to Comicbook.com that he didn’t know what the show was when he first auditioned, and after landing the role and making his way to shoot, he realized he’d be seeing a familiar face: fellow IT co-star Bill Skarsgard.
“I auditioned for Castle Rock, and when I auditioned, I didn’t know it was Castle Rock, because they don’t say the name, but when I found out that I booked it, and then I flew up to Massachusetts, which is where I’m from, and I saw his picture on the wall. I was like, ‘Wait, Bill’s in this?'”
While he’s already worked with Bill in the past, he shared that the experience working with Skarsgard this time around was a little different, and “kind of an awesome thing.”
“It was kind of an awesome thing because shooting IT, they kind of kept him away from us in the beginning just so that it would up the ante a little bit, so to actually see him, and to be able to experience back and forth conversation with him just as a human being was very awesome for me, just to see the talent even in that aspect. Because even though he’s playing a character, it’s less of a caricature as Pennywise is. It’s more so, okay, how does Bill act as an actual human being?”
We’re beyond excited to see Jacobs make his debut on Castle Rock as Wendell Deaver this week.

Per a report from the Hollywood Reporter, the anthology series from JJ Abrams and Stephen King has quickly become Hulu’s most successful launch for a first season program.
Details of the forthcoming season are still being worked out, but we couldn’t be more excited to see what’s next for the horror series.
In a past interview with THR, Castle Rock showrunner Dustin Thomason shared that each season of the show will be its own story, much like Stephen King’s books.
“Each season is going to be its own self-contained story: beginning, middle and end,” Thomason told THR. “But I think that just as the books do, we want to surprise viewers with the ways in which the stories intersect. Just as the places the characters pop up in very unexpected ways throughout the books, that’s the kind of anthology that we would like to tell.”
