Since Netflix and Hulu have come out with their own respective documentaries, Fyre Festival and its collaborators have been exposed. Among those highly involved with the festival include rapper Ja Rule.

Back in April 2017, Ja Rule released a statement concerning the festival. The rapper claimed that the festival was not a scam. Fast forward to today, Ja Rule is sticking to his story.

In a series of tweets, Ja Rule defends his part in the music festival that stranded thousands of people on an island, sans blink-182.

“I love how ppl watch a doc and think they have all the answers,” Ja Rule says in a tweet. “I had an amazing vision to create a festival like NO OTHER!!! I would NEVER SCAM or FRAUD anyone what sense does that make???”

Following that, the rapper claims that the documentaries don’t show what really happened behind the scenes. According to Ja Rule, he has “receipts” of Netflix and Hulu paying festival orchestrators.

As previously reported, Fyre Festival organizer Billy McFarland plead guilty to two counts of fraud. Following that, he is now required to repay the $26 million he stole from investors.
