Former Fifth Harmony member Lauren Jauregui is “a f*cking Paramore stan,” in her own words. The singer has already proven her love for the band several times, but her first time meeting frontwoman Hayley Williams wasn’t the best.
Check out below why Jauregui says she feels bad about the encounter.
In October 2018, Jauregui teamed up with Teen Vogue for their “The Playlist Of My Life” video series. She picked some major girl power anthems from the likes of Lana Del Rey, Christina Aguilera and Alicia Keys. She also selected Paramore’s “Pressure.”
“This whole album, All We Know Is Falling, was the soundtrack of my seventh grade,” she explains. “This song particularly, yo, a girl was struggling in school. I was always in honor classes, so I always had a lot of homework and a lot of shit going on. Yeah, this song, I would blast it.
“The whole thing, it’s like super rock, and when you hear it, you’ll be like, ‘Really, in seventh grade?’”
The singer also declared her love for Paramore several times on social media, saying them and Boys Like Girls were the only bands she listened to in seventh grade.
She even went so far as to say they’re her favorite band, having kicked off her most recent birthday weekend by catching their performance.

Meeting Hayley Williams
Now, Jauregui is out promoting her recently released solo single “More Than That.” While talking for Travis Mills on Beats 1, the singer talked about the first time she met Hayley Williams.
Pop Crush transcribed the story, and you can read it below.
“We were at a restaurant and I saw her and she was about to sit down with her boyfriend for dinner and me being my dumb young self I was like ‘oh my god that’s Hayley…like Hayley Williams is in front of my face’ like I’m such a f—king Paramore stan,” she says. “But I was like ‘I love you so much your music is everything to me’ and she’s just like ‘Girl, I’m trying to eat with my boyfriend. What’re you doing’ but she was still very gracious… like I feel bad in total retrospect. Like ‘WTF Lauren?’ I was so little and so naive.”
Although we understand why she feels bad about the moment, it’s honestly just further proof of how much of a Paramore fangirl she is. And we love it.
